Madonna’s brother Christopher Ciccone launches shoe line at London Fashion Week – and says he’ll send some to his big sis

His sister is one of the most famous women in the world, and Christopher Ciccone is now hoping to find success in his own right.
The younger brother of pop star Madonna, who wrote a controversial tell-all book about his elder sibling in 2008, has launched his first shoe collection.
The collection, which features rubber, canvas and leather footwear, has been designed for ‘anybody who likes to wear shoes, and where God made weather’, says the 51-year-old.
Ciccone, who previously worked as his sister's assistant, also revealed that a pair of black leather cowboy-inspired boots from the collection were designed with Madonna in mind.
‘We haven't spoken specifically about the collection itself. We have a strictly brother-sister relationship right now,’ he told Reuters at the launch of the collection. ‘Obviously, I'm sure I'll send her some shoes.’
The Ciccone Collection, endorsed by Slovakian company Novesta, made its debut at London Fashion Week and there are plans for the line to expand to include clothing and accessories. The line includes riding boots, wellington boots, boat shoes, brogues and sandals, and prices range from £39 to £300.
During a recent interview on ITV show Lorraine, Ciccone revealed that he and Madonna have repaired their relationship and stressed that their would not be a follow-up to his infamous memoir Life with My Sister Madonna.

‘We've gotten to a point where, as far as I'm concerned, we're back to being a brother and sister and this is a good place for me,’ he said. ‘What happens between us is private now and there's no other books coming out.’

‘It's taken a bit to get there, as I understand, but she's my sister and from this point on it's us as brother and sister.

‘It's great to reconnect and it wasn't just with her, after the book I really got the chance to reconnect with my family as well.’

Although Madonna did not attend her brother’s launch, her latest hit Girl Gone Wild was played during the presentation at the Strand Gallery in London.

Madonna also has a troubled relationship with her other brother Anthony, who last year told newspaper The Michigan Messenger that he was homeless and living under a bridge.
